A high temperature superconductor superdirectional antenna array

Abstract A high temperature superconducting two-element end-fed superdirective array made out of YBCO wire is presented. Experimental results are given at a frequency of 1 GHz for a copper array and a YBCO array, showing a maximum difference in gain of 9 dB at the smallest separation between the array elements.
