The method for transmitting the control information includes that: if uplink control information comprises a precoding weight vector and a pilot frequency, the time slot format of a secondary dedicated physical control channel (S-DPCCH) is set to make the symbol carrying the precoding weight vector of the current sub-frame be ahead of the symbol carrying the pilot frequency of the current sub-frame; the uplink control information is carried in the S-DPCCH and transmitted to a base station. By setting the time slot format of the S-DPCCH so as to make the symbol carrying the precoding weight vector of the current sub-frame be ahead of the symbol carrying the pilot frequency of the current sub-frame, the precoding weight vector of the current sub-frame can be transmitted to the base station earlier than the pilot frequency of the current sub-frame, the time delay that the base station obtains the precoding weight vector can be reduced, and the demodulation performance of the uplink data can be improved.
