William Law and Eighteenth Century Quakerism (review)

In the Autumn Bulletin, 1927, p. 81, there was an item concerning the visit of some Indians to a Friends' Meeting at Easton, New York, about the time of the American Revolution. Our friend, Norman Penney, has since then called our attention to a reference to the event in the Journal of Rufus Hall, as noticed in the Journal of Friends Historical Society, London, 10 (1922) : 122. Rufus Hall was the son-in-law of Zebulon Hoxie, and was apparently present at the meeting when the Indians came into it. Rufus Hall gives the date as the summer of 1777. See Journal of Rufus Hall, (1840), p. 17.
