Structural members have to be secured load carrying capacity and plastic rotation capacity in the plastic region for the ultimate load design. Therefore the estimation of the local buckling behavior of members is very basic and important, epecially, in the aseismatic design. The purpose of this study is to estimate the load carrying and plastic deformation capacity through the experiment of stub-column and beam in accordance with parameter of width-Thickness Ratios, slenderness Ratios, and to suggest Limiting Width-thickness Ratios in accordance with a required deformation capacity in structural steel design.
