FHWA PERSPECTIVE ON UPDATING NEEDS

This paper presents a Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) perspective on updating National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Report 350. The comments cover the following topics: tolerances for test installations; foundations; new FHWA memorandum (July 25, 1997) and reporting requirements; number of tests needed; test speeds, test angles, and test vehicles; international testing procedures and laboratory certification; and evaluation and acceptance criteria.
