Research on Probabilistic Safety Assessment Applying to Protection System of Nuclear Power Plant

Probabilistic Risk Assessment(PRA) is a system engineering approach.It uses the reliability of evaluation techniques(fault tree,event tree analysis) and probabilistic risk analysis methods,gives a comprehensive analysis for the various possible accidents and the development of complex systems,considering them from their probability of occurrence,as well as to consequences.In this paper,modeling in PRA of nuclear power plant was studied,which utilized Monte-Carlo method that was not restricted by failure distribution function.The reliability of the nuclear power plant protection was analyzed and an emergency shutdown system as an example was taken;the feasibility of Monte-Carlo method applying in nuclear power plant was illustrated.It is an effective method to analyze the reliability of nuclear power plant.
