Abstract In the simple cubic lattice, for bond-percolation our Monte Carlo simulation gives a value of p∞ = 0.2492 ± 0.0002, in contradiction to a recent speculation of Sahimi et al. (p∞ = 0.25273) and to the possibility p ∞ = 1 4 .
