The power consumption of circulating pumps has a great influence on the auxiliary power and the unit economy.On the basis of the experimental data,the most economical circulating water flow of the specific operating conditions was identified with genetic algorithms.Thus,the corresponding condenser pressure was got to make the unit run on the most economical backpressure.The results show that the best circulating water flow calculated with the genetic algorithms can optimize the operation conditions,and on different inlet temperatures of circulating water and load conditions,the results can determine the number of pumps put into operation to improve the economy of the unit.
