THE SYNTHESIS OF BRADYKININ AND OF RELATED PEPTIDES *

The disclosure of the amino acid composition of bradykinin by Elliott, Lewis and Horton in 1959l# * gave rise to hope among peptide chemists that this team of workers would soon be in a position to disclose the amino acid sequence of this compound. In answer to the request of several of us, Dr. Elliott was kind enough to communicate in March 1960, simultaneously to all those interested, the tentative structure, he and his co-workers felt a t that time to be the most likely for bradykinin?
