A Framework for Building an Expert System for MCDM Models Selection

This paper discusses the purpose, structure, and software capabilities of a rule-based expert system for multiple criteria decision making (MCDM). The expert system combines information about available discrete alternative MCDM methods with procedures for guiding the user through the analysis of the decision situation and supporting him/her in selecting the most appropriate method.
