Modified Discrete Sliding mode Model Following Control (DSMFC) for an Induction Motor Drivers

A Discrete Sliding mode Model Following Control or DSMFC strategy for an induction motor drivers is presented. The DSMFC algorithm uses the combination of model following control and sliding mode control to improve the dynamics response for command tracking. A procedure is proposed for choosed for choosing the control function so that it guarantee the existence of a Sliding control of an induction motor. Experimental results illustrate that DSMFC gives a signigicant improvement on the tracking performances and robust to plant parameter variations and disturbances.
