Influence of Coupled Stiffness on Dynamic Performance of the Flexible Coupled Bogie with Independently Rotating Wheels

A new scheme of the flexible coupled bogie with independently rotating wheels is put forward.It is found by theoretical analysis that the leading and trailing wheelsets of the bogie will run to the radial places as long as the coupled stiffness is matched correctly.This indicates that the flexible coupled bogie is possible to solve the difficult steering problem of independently rotating wheels thoroughly.The affecting law of the coupled stiffness on dynamic performance of the flexible coupled bogie with independently rotating wheels has been found by numerical simulation.The optimal value of the coupled stiffness is gained,which provides theoretical basis for the future scheme design of the flexible coupled bogie with independently rotating wheels.A new conception that the flexible coupled bogie with independently rotating wheels can produce homologous hunting is also put forward.
