The analysis of a novel adaptive PN-code acquisition for GPS DSSS receivers

This paper introduces a novel adaptive PN-code acquisition for GPS DSSS receivers, which is compared with traditional classical PN-code acquisition and proven better in general sense. It adopts a two-dimensional characteristic method, in which the parallel-processing is used in frequency-domain as the code correlator and in time-domain the steps of DCO are adaptively controlled to track the offset of CW frequency. Beyond that according to the adaptive threshold criterion the influence brought in by the input signal fluctuation is removed automatically. This paper gives a detail mathematics calculation first, and then simulation results and the contracted expression of key performance indexes are provided for easily comprehending. Finally its analysis results are approved through Monte Carlo experiment.
