Congenital ear anomalies associated with otic meningitis.

Otic meningitis is a dangerous entity which can occur as a result of any of several situations and which requires careful study. We present a case of otic meningitis associated with a fistula of the stapedial footplate and partial bony and membranous labyrinthine agenesis (Mondini type). The literature concerning such abnormalities in association with otic meningitis is reviewed and a plan of evaluation is outlined.
