위성항법 지역보강시스템 (GBAS) 기술 개발 및 구축 동향

The Ground-Based Augmentation System (GBAS) is a ground-based augmentation technology that provides aircraft with a precision approach service within an airport and surrounding area. GBAS will be implemented initially as a CAT-I precision landing system. Honeywell GBAS CAT-I System model, SLS-4000 received System Design Approval from FAA in September 2009. Many nations are starting to transition from GBAS research to GBAS implementation, And GBAS prototype stations have been installed internationally in Brazil, Spain, Germany, Italy, France and Australia. Through their GBAS demonstration programs, they are eager to earn the operational technologies and experiences and set up appropriate approval process for each country. This paper presents worldwide activities and trends regarding GBAS research and implementation.
