Based on the motion law and deformation characteristics of roof rocks for gob-entry retained in a fully mechanized coal face of gently inclined medium-thickness seam,the feasibility of roadside packing with ordinary concrete for gob-side entry retaining was analyzed.The features and performance requirements of supporting system was posed and a rational and economical support system was designed.The tests indicate that the technology of gob-entry retained efficiently make up for the deficiency of roadside packing with ordinary concrete,effectively control the roof strata,in which roadside packed with ordinary concrete,combined with roadway protection with single hydraulic prop as roadside temporary support and cable reinforced roadside supporting.
