Application of Group Technology in Design of Automated Storage and Retrieval System

As a kind of optimizing technology, group technology is mostly applied in production manufacturing industry, especially in processing and manufacturing of parts. This paper introduces it into logistics field as a type of ways and means, helping classifying and coding of material entered and layout supervisal of the storage and retrieval system.
