Comparison of Quality of Well-Being scale and Functional Status Index in patients with atrial fibrillation.

The use of health outcome measures has become increasingly common in clinical research. A large number of health outcome measures have been developed during the past 20 years. In a recent review, Spilker et al. identified more than 300 health outcome indices.1 These measures can be classified into two primary categories: 1) general measures;2-6 and 2) limited, disease-specific or function-specific measures.7-10 The general instruments are often used in health policy research, primarily because the results of the
