Modeling the Problem of Operating Rooms and Different Wards of Health Centers Scheduling and Planning

Today, task scheduling is an important indicator in many vital decision-makings in the healthcare sectors. The tendency to make decisions with the aim to minimize the time spent doing things is among the reasons to propose scheduling problems. The proper scheduling will greatly reduce the organization's costs. Therefore, the scheduling usage of operating rooms is considered as an important issue. Accordingly, the current research proposes a model to schedule and plan all hospital wards with the aim to minimize task scheduling in healthcare centers. The innovation in this research is due to providing a model with regard to all constraints of healthcare centers, personnel, and patients, and attaining the intended time objectives of the healthcare centers. In addition, results obtained from solving this model using GAMS software and a set of random data have been logical and useful, indicating the performance improvement of different wards of hospital and patients' satisfaction.
