IEEE 1451 Standard-based Universal Heart Monitoring Scheme Using Narrow-Band IoT-Queueing Model Analysis

In human daily life, stressful workload or unhealthy lifestyle is brought in many diseases, e.g. Heart Problem. According to the data published by World Health Organization (WHO), heart-related disease such as cardiovascular problem has been the No.1 killer of human death, but there is obviously lack of heart monitoring equipment to predict or prevent death. In order to solve these problems, researchers have been dedicating on finding appropriate sensors like Electrocardiogram (ECG) sensor to monitor heart. However, it is difficult for heart monitoring service provider to unify heart-monitor sensors, since different manufacturer may produce out different hardware design and software incompatibility. Therefore, in this paper, a universal heart monitoring scheme using NB-IoT belongs to Low-Power Wide-Area (LPWA) wireless transmission protocol will be proposed under IEEE 1451 standard to solve above problems.
