Dual Projected Pseudo Quasi-Newton Method and Applications

Abstract We propose a new dual-type method for solving quadratic programming problems with strictly convex-objective functions. The presented method has attractive advantageous features in network optimization problems. We combine a successive quadratic programming method with the proposed method to solve power system economic dispatch control problems. The results show that our method is very efficient and can be used for real-time applications.
