Method for producing lens of led package

A method for producing a lens of an LED(Light Emitting Diode) package is provided to reduce the thickness of a backlight unit using the LED package equipped with the dome lens, by forming a recessed groove with high light efficiency and illuminance on the upper part of the dome lens. A method for producing a lens of an LED package comprises the steps of: forming circular dome lenses on the upper parts of plural LED packages installed on a fixing plate, by using silicone(501); molding the dome lens by using a jig for pressing the dome lens to form a recessed groove on the upper side of the dome lens(503,505); hardening the dome lens(507); and separating the LED packages from the fixing plate(509).
