Automatic Test System of LIN Bus Based on LIN Description File

Aimed at many weaknesses in the LIN bus testing system like weak compatibility,absent malfunction definitions,difficulties in designing the test equipment and low degree of automation,a new LIN bus automatic test system was proposed based on the LIN description file.The system hardware design consists of upper PC and PIC18F6520 mircocotroller.The upper test software analyses and transforms the LIN description file and the data configured by users which can incarnate the action of the LIN bus application layer's into the test sets of the system,realizes the automatic test of the vehicle LIN bus ECU and definitions of the malfunction's frames ID.The system can realize automatical test and malfunction's definitions for different LIN bus systems according to different LIN description file and data configured by users,so it was significant for upgrading the automation design's lever of the vehicle LIN bus system.The system has been applied in LIN bus ECU test process of the Great Wall motor's Harvard models,and has got a good results.
