Publisher Summary The chapter presents the design and field test study of a steel-concrete composite open-web floor whose span is 19.5m, measure of plan is 19.5m X 31m, and average design load is 15kN/m2. For theoretical analysis of the structure, the combination the finite element method of beam elements and shell elements model is adopted in the chapter. For this type of new composite spatial structure, field test is researched to check the safety of the construction and the reliability of the theoretical analysis. The test makes use of water to imitate uniformly the distributed load. Because of the request of site condition and construction period, test load is gradually applied to 5kN/m2. On the basic of this, strain and deformation of the structure under own weight and all-level load are separately tested in the chapter. The theoretical analysis and test results show that the structure has better rigidity, rational bearing, and reliability of the theoretical analysis. This structure, which is used for the kind of architectural floor and roof construction of large span and large load, can get good result.
