Smart Stick for Blind

Independence is the fundamental requirement to achieve dreams, goals, and objectives in life. Despite the fast-paced progress in the world, it is challenging for the visually impaired to carry out their routines independently. Thus, they are always in need of help. For decades, the white cane has become the aid for a blind person’s navigation. Continuous efforts have been made to improve the efficacy of the cane. Despite their sharp haptic sensitivity, the blind persons find it difficult to move around alone. The proposed electronic walking stick interfaced with different sensors to detect obstacles in the path helps the blind person by providing more convenient means of life.
