Energy-Efficient Timing Estimation and SRS Allocation Scheme for Wireless Industry Service

Wireless industry service is expected to be spotlighted as a critical application in B5G and 6G due to increased flexibility, increased stability, increased scalability, and increased mobility between facilities. To this end, wire-level reliability and sub-$\mu\mathrm{s}$-level synchronization between devices must be guaranteed. In this paper, sounding reference signal (SRS) allocation and timing estimation techniques to overcome deep fading are proposed, and the performance is shown through simulation. The simulation results show that the SRS transmission considering frequency diversity and antenna diversity outperforms other scenarios in terms of timing errors. Moreover, the energy-efficient timing estimation algorithm we proposes is similar performance to the other one in high SNR.
