Capacity limits in single-mode fiber and scaling for spatial multiplexing

We present nonlinear fiber capacity estimate calculations for various types of single-mode fibers and introduce an analytic formula that closely matches simulations. We discuss capacity scaling from spatial multiplexing in multicore and multimode fibers.
