Electron paramagnetic resonance spectra of iron(III) complexes of sulphur-containing ligands

The e.p.r. spectra of a number of ferric complexes with sulphur-containing ligands have been recorded, and interpreted in terms of the appropriate spin-Hamiltonian. The complexes studied were mainly low-spin (S=½) or high-spin (S=5//2), including some which exhibit a ‘spin-equilibrium’. In the latter case, it has been possible to observe separate signals from the ‘high’ and ‘low’-spin forms.
