This paper presents active structural-acoustic control using piezoelectric materials. The structural-acoustic coupled system of a 3-D vehicle model was analyzed by combining the structural data which were obtained by modal testing with the acoustic data which were obtained by finite element method. Through the contribution analysis of the coupled system for its interior noise, a controlled plate and controlled modes were selected, which were most effective for reducing its noise. Interior noise as well as structural vibration could be reduced by using a robust LQG controller of vibration considering cavity acoustics.
