Compressive load error analyses of existing pseudo-static tests of unreinforced masonry walls

Vertical Compressive load of existing pseudo-static tests of unreinforced masonry walls is analyzed. The problem about vertical load is found during pseudo-static tests. Researches show that the nominal compressive load applied on the test samples is less than the minimum desired value corresponding to the practical horizontal load measured during experiments and errors appear. Some approaches are explored according to the principle of hydraulic jacks in order to solve above problems.
