Virtual teaming experiences

It is becoming widely accepted that the most successful teams for the design, analysis, and manufacturing of engineering systems will be formed from a geographically distributed pool of talent. To help prepare our students for this new reality, we have developed a two-course undergraduate sequence in digital signal processing in which students from the University of Colorado form "virtual" teams with students from George Mason University. In this paper we present the results of four semesters of experimenting with virtual teams of students from the University of Colorado and George Mason University.
