Tennessee's Integrated Rural Transit Microcomputer Software

The Tennessee Department of transportation (TDOT) entered into a research contract with Vanderbilt University and the University of Tennessee to develop an integrated series of programs to automate the records of Tennessee's rural transit agencies. The initial expertise of statewide agencies varied widely. Several goals of this research were: 1)reporing uniformity; 2) reducing total agency effort via automation; 3)improving the quality of statistical data reported; 4)improving on-time delivery of all reports.
