Managing requirements as the core of multi-disciplinary product development

Abstract This paper shows a methodology that brings existing approaches of requirements management together in a reasonable context. It supports communication between different disciplines and therefore helps identifying important requirements and relations between requirements from different domains. That is crucial in early phases of the design process and in later phases. Not less crucial is to bring early and later phases together by predicting possible changes and by estimating the presumable impact. Thence, the managing of requirements can be seen as the core of successful multi-disciplinary product development. A short example from the field of parallel robots is given.
