A fully digital controller of high-voltage power supply for ECRH system on HL-2A

The high voltage (HV) power supply with output of 80kV/200A has been built with PSM (pulse step modulation) technology to energize the gyrotrons of ECRH system on HL-2A Tokamak. To improve the performance of control system of the PSM system, a fully digital controller based on digital signal processing (DSP) and field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) has been developed. This controller has many advantages and is successfully applied to the operation of the PSM system in ECRH experiment.
