Reduzierung des Kraftstoffverbrauchs über Reibungsoptimierung am Vierzylinder-Ottomotor

Due to the high complexity of hybrid powertrains, a lot of combinations regarding internal combustion engine, electric motor and transmission can be combined. At the Lehrstuhl fur Verbrennungskraftmaschinen Aachen (VKA), a combination of simulation and numerical optimization with Design of Experiments (DoE) was used to optimize combustion engine, powertrain configuration and operation strategy for hybrid powertrain vehicles. A parametric approach allows the variation of the main hybrid powertrain parameters. Aside of the definition of the optimum configurations for engine, powertrain and operation strategy, the DoE approach offers the possibility to predict the fuel consumption for any modifications of the hybrid powertrains parameters.
