CoP-dependent ontologies

This deliverable describes the O'CoP ontology. It first presents the method used for building the ontology, and then details the results of each phase, as well as our return of experience for each step. The ontology obtained from analysis of information sources from eleven CoPs involved in Palette is composed of a concept hierarchy and a relation hierarchy, with concepts related to Community, Actor, Competency, Learner-profile, Collaboration, Process/Activity, Decision-making and Resource. We also describe the ECCO tool that supported the method, and our return of experience on its use.
