1H NMR spectra of carbohydrate‐derived polyhydroxycarboxylates

An analysis of the 1H NMR spectra of polyhydroxycarboxylates is presented. Conclusions with regard to the configuration and the conformation are drawn from chemical shifts and vicinal coupling constants.
