On the calculation of harmonic air-gap fiels in machines with single-sided slotting

In this paper the authors develop a method that enables the interaction of stator mmf and air-gap permeance harmonics to be systematically accounted for by harmonic correction factors. The work is verified by means of measurements made on a specially-constructed test rig.
