Comments on ‘Finite-time consensus of multi-agent system via non-linear event-triggered control strategy’

An event-triggered protocol is recently developed to achieve finite-time consensus in the commented paper. Although the Zeno behaviour is excluded by the lower-bounded inter-event time in Theorem 2, the misuse of Lemma 1 leads to the doubtful result in the proof. Through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, this letter reveals that the Zeno behaviour is unavoidable under the protocol when approaching consensus in finite time. Furthermore, an alternative trigger function is presented to achieve practical consensus.
