Complete moderate thermophile Anaerobaculum mobile type strain (NGA(T)).

is one of three described species of the genus Anaerobaculum , family Synergistaceae , phylum Synergistetes . This anaerobic and motile bacterium ferments a range of carbohydrates and mono- and dicarboxylic acids with acetate, hydrogen and CO 2 as end products. A. mobile NGA T is the first member of the genus Anaerobaculum and the sixth member of the phylum Synergistetes with a completely sequenced genome. Here we describe the features of this bacterium, together with the complete genome sequence, and annotation. The 2,160,700 bp long single replicon genome with its 2,053 protein-coding and 56 RNA genes is part of the G enomic E ncyclopedia of B acteria and A rchaea project.
