Uplink multi-carrier multiple access scheme LDS-IOTA

In this study, a multiple access scheme called low density signature isotropic orthogonal transfer algorithm (LDS-IOTA) is proposed for overloading transmissions, and an analytical model for the performance limitations of this system is developed. LDS-IOTA utilises a low density signature structure for spreading the symbols in frequency domain, and applies such technique to IOTA-based filter bank multicarrier system. The input-output mutual information of LDS-IOTA is analysed for the case of finite size modulation, and LDS-IOTA is compared with OFDM as well as LDS-OFDM over multipath fadding channels.
