Effect of losses resistances, module temperature variation, and partial shading on PV output power

Module temperature and partial shading of a photovoltaic (PV) installation has an inconsistent impact on its power production. This paper presents solar array model and simulation of module temperature at the step of 25 °C. In this paper, the I-V equation for the PV module is solved by analyzing the effect of the series and parallel resistances on the resultant power of the PV generator. The simulations have been conducted using MATLAB Software Tool. Effect of variety of shading conditions on PV output power is also discussed using PVSYST 5 software. The pre-feasibility finding is believed to be useful in PV system design, and its performance analysis.
