Intraoral tongue drive system demonstration

Tongue drive system (TDS) is a new wireless assistive technology (AT) that employs the power and capabilities of the human tongue, which maintains its full functionality even after severe spinal cord injuries and most neurological diseases. The TDS infers users' intentions by detecting their voluntary tongue motion, and translates them into user-defined commands. Here we present the new intraoral version of the TDS (iTDS), which has been implemented as a dental retainer.
