Comparison of PMD sensitivity for different modulation formats

The polarization mode dispersion (PMD) sensitivity for different modulation formats is compared and discussed, including PMD tolerance for different modulation formats on the design of PMD compensators. In addition, the robustness of solitons to PMD is also discussed.
