OtoAcoustic Emission (OAE) is a hot point of Otolaryngology research in recent years. OAE and AEP (Auditory Evoked Potential) are regarded as two complementary means for the objective clinical testing of auditory functions, because the detection is fast, simple and noninvasive. Using an homomorphic model of peripheral auditory system, a thorough study is made in this paper on Transient Evoked OtoAcoustic Emission (TEOAE). By identification of the model parameters, not only do we obtain a simulated TEOAE which bears characteristics similar to that of clinically obtained ones, but also reveal the relation between OAE and OHC (Outer Hair Cells) in coclear functioning.
