Compared with the prior art, the phase array ultrasonic detecting device and method can be used for all covering detection of parts such as the axle neck of the axle, a wheel seat, a gear seat, an embracing journal and an axle body, the number of the used phase array probes is small, the probes do not need to move back and forth, detection efficiency is high, the phase array ultrasonic detecting device and method adapt to various different axles, and manual intervention is not required.
