Grey target decision-making model of interval grey number based on cobweb area

Grey target decision-making model is a usual method used to solve an uncertain making-decision problem about"small sample size, poor information".However, the existing research results of grey target decision-making model cannot establish a decision-making model for interval grey number which information distribution is asymmetrical, and the calculated results based on indicators of the square of the distance and the off-target distance indicators are susceptible to the effects of extreme value in the index set. This paper first deducts a formula of the kernel of the interval grey number when information distribution is already known, and studies the calculation method and the nature of the distance between the interval grey numbers. Then,on this basis, the paper evaluates the pros and cons of the decision-making program by comparing the areas(cobweb)which are surrounded by the connections between each index value of the index set and the bull's-eye.On some extent, the impact of extreme index value in the modeling objects on the calculation results of the off-target distance is weakened. Finally, the paper establishes a cobweb grey target decision model for interval grey number of suppliers' selection. The research results are significant for optimizing grey target decision modeling method.
