A method for session establishment comprises the following steps: receiving a broadcast message of at least one second equipment; determining target equipment used for providing services according to an equipment list carried by the broadcast message, wherein the equipment list is used for storing the equipment information of all third equipment capable of communicating with the second equipment and the service information of at least one service provided by each of the third equipment; selecting one piece of second equipment as proxy equipment from at least one piece of second equipment storing the equipment information of the target equipment in the equipment list; and establishing a session with the third equipment through the proxy equipment. In addition, the invention provides a device for session establishment. By implementing the scheme provided by the invention, the service scope of equipment is expanded, equipment is no longer restricted by objective conditions, equipment becomes more intelligent, and communication between equipment is completed without changing the hardware.
