HIDRA, AN ARCHITECTURE FOR HIGHLY DYNAMIC PHYSICALLY BASED MULTIAGENT SIMULATIONS

This paper presents HIDRA (Highly Interactive Distributed Real-Time Architecture), a system designed to ease the specification of multiagent simulations and to enable a designer to make informed choices among the factors influencing such a system. The inventory of object types, the ways that their interactions are controlled, and the maintenance of a consistent distributed world view are described through two extended examples: air traffic control and a traffic intersection.
