A kinematics model and a dynamics model were built for the geomembrane roll movement in the lining paving machine working on the geomembrane-seepage-proof irrigation canal.The difference between the ideal angular acceleration of the geomembrane roll and its real angular acceleration under the action of the practical friction force was analyzed.By the theoretical analysis it was found that the geomembrane stretch in the paving process can be avoid through the active synchrouized release of the geomembrane.The paving quality can be improved by the reasonable choice of the driving ratio.The results provide a theoretical reference for the mechanical design of the issigation canal lining paving machine.
